Final wrap up from the 2010 Fox Jet Winter Classic meet
held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. CCS swimmers had a very
successful meet obtaining a large number of personal best times
(64). In the team
scores, CCS finished 10th out of 63 teams with 492
points. There was over
1380 swimmers in the meet with teams from Minnesota, Colorado,
Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri Valley, and
of course Florida.
Individual High Points top ten scores were: Andrew Moran who finished
5th, Kelsey
Frantz finished 3rd, and Danny Douglas finishing
9th.
Swimmers who finished in the top eight were: Andrew Moran (1000 fr, 400 IM,
200 fr, 500 fr, 200 fly, 100 fly, 200 back, and 200 IM), Kelsey Frantz (1000 fr, 500 fr,
100 fr, 200 fly, 400 IM, and 200 fr), Danny Douglas( 1000 fr, 200 fr,
100 fr, and 100 breast), Hannah James (100 fly), Sydney Ortiz (1000 fr), David Scott (200 fly), Daniel Hughes (1000 fr,
500 fr, 200 breast and 400 IM), Peter Hughes (200 IM and 500
free), and the boys 200 medley and free relays. Team records were set by Hannah James in the 13-14
girls 100 fly, Kelsey
Frantz in the 15-16 girls 400 IM, 1000 free, and 200 back.
Swimmers with all personal best swims were: Hannah James, Camille
Harakal. There
were swimmers who had all personal best except for one swim and
they were: Sarah Frantz
and Emre Guvenli. Largest time drop was
turned in by Emre
Guvenli, who dropped 23 seconds in the 500 free. Camille Harakal, Hans Schroeder,
Kevin Chislett, and Shannen Walsh turned in a very good meet in
several swims.
Swimmers who made new Sectional cuts were: Hannah James, Andrew Moran, and Peter Hughes. Swimmers making new JO and
Sr. champ cuts were; Hans

Three finalist were: Andrew
Moran (200 fly), Kelsey
Frantz (500 fr and 1000 free), Daniel Hughes (1000 fr), and Danny Douglas (100fr, 200
fr). Outstanding
swimmers of the meet were: Danny Douglas and Hannah James for the Senior team
and Alara Guvenli and
Sarah Frantz for the
Junior Team.
