Head Coach-Punta Gorda
Coach Cain swam competitively for eleven years. Coach Cain was a High School All-State swimmer. Coach Cain then swam at Bemidji State University where he earned NAIA All-American status all four years of his college career. Coach Cain started his coaching adventure back in 1984 where he coached the Bemidji (MN) High School Boys and Girls SwimTeams and the Bemidji Area Super Swimmers (club). While in Bemidji, Coach Cain's boys and girls teams won seven sectional titles and produced several high school all-state swimmers and high school All-Americans. Coach Cain was selected as Sectional Coach of the year four times while in Minnesota. Coach Cain moved to Punta Gorda in 1996 where he began coaching with Charlotte High School and started this club in 1997. The Charlotte High School boys and girls teams have won eight District Championships, two regional runner ups, and one State Title in 2003 with the boys high school team. In 2001, 2002 and 2003, Coach Cain was the 2A Coach of the year, and in 2003 he was the State Coach of the year. Charlotte High has produced four state champions and sixteen high school all-americans. Several of Coach Cain's swimmers have went on to swim for many colleges in the United States as well as a number of club swimmers have went on to national meets and have been ranked in the thop sixteen in the nation.
